We answer your questions
The cost of a complete overhaul of a Rolex can vary depending on several factors, such as the specific model, the age of the watch and the state of maintenance. At our workshop you will find the most advantageous prices available, for a “time only” Rolex (e.g. an oyster perpetual) in fact the starting price is 320€, a significant saving compared to authorized service centers.
At our workshop, estimates are always free of charge, then based on the necessary interventions, a written estimate will be formulated to the client who can freely decide which interventions to carry out.
Revisions carried out at our laboratory include the following:
- Workforce:
- Movement overhaul, Proof of water resistance, bracelet length adjustment-excluding the use of additional elements (links)
- Spare parts (where necessary):
- Springs, lubricants, seals, wheels, screws, acrylic glass, tubes and valve
The time required to completely overhaul a Rolex at our workshop can vary, but it usually takes between 2 and 4 weeks. This period includes time to disassemble, clean, repair any damaged components, lubricate and adjust the movement, as well as extensive testing for water resistance and accuracy. In some cases, the time may lengthen if the watch requires replacement of special parts or more complex work.
Rolex recommends that you have a complete overhaul of your watch every 10 years or so (especially for more modern references), but the frequency may vary depending on how the watch is used and the environmental conditions in which it is worn. If the watch is exposed to extreme conditions or frequent contact with water, it may need to be checked more frequently, especially for water resistance. In general, if you notice a drop in accuracy or other problems in operation, it is advisable to bring your watch to our workshop even before the tenth year.
